Portable Appliance Testing consists of multiple tests to verify that the equipment is safe to use and documents the results including retest schedules. How much does it cost?
- I am happy to charge a unit rate however this rate may vary on the type of equipment, its accessibility and resulting from this information how many I feel could be done in a day.
- I feel that a better way is to charge a Hourly or Daily Rate but include some added value as detailed below.
What about the items that fail?
- The fewer that fail the better for you. As part of my service therefore I offer to include the rewire or replacement of plugs and correction of any fuse sizes. This normally covers a high percentage of the failures.
- Of the few items left that fail I will advise a course of action and if possible potential costs.
