My Rates
As a Customer I do not like surprises. As a Trader I try and ensure that I am always very clear on what I have quoted to do and how much so I do not give my Customers any surprises. I have therefore detailed below exactly what my rates are.
I believe that these rates are very competitive. I am a small business and am not VAT registered therefore the rates below are actual rates and are not subject to any VAT.

- Hourly Rate is charged for small jobs or callouts. The hourly rate includes travel time to and from site. Travel in excess of 10 miles is charged at a rate of 40p per mile. For example: 2 hours onsite and 30 mins travel each way totalling 30 miles will result in 3 hours being charged plus £8.00 Mileage.
- The Daily Rate is an all inclusive charge and includes travelling to and from site up to a daily maximum total of 30 miles. Mileage in excess of this is charged at 40p per mile.
- Where the hourly rate exceeds the daily rate then the daily rate applies. For larger jobs the daily rate will normally apply. The rate to be charged will be clearly detailed in any estimates or quotes.
- Bank Holiday or Weekend rates only apply if the job is requested by you to be completed over a Bank Holiday or Weekend. If the job is not actually required for this period but scheduled by myself then normal Weekday rates apply.
Callouts
I do not have a callout charge but due to the high fuel costs I charge travel time and mileage. A one hour callout with 30 mins travel each way totalling 30 miles will result in a cost of 2 hours Labour and £12.00 mileage.
Materials
Like all people I need to make a living and my labour rates enable me to do so. I therefore do not mark-up my materials prices but simply pass on the actual costs.
